Walking in Wisdom
Wisdom forms part of one of the Gifts of the Spirit, sadly people have downplayed this Gift because when they look at it on the surface of the other gifts of the spirit, they do not deem it as powerful. People consider huge displays of the prophetic and manifestations of miracles to be powerful and they celebrate these more. However, I would like you to reconsider and change your mind if this was also your thinking because the word of God says there is nothing you can desire in this life that you can compare with Wisdom.

I do not know what you have desired in this life that has become too expensive for you, but I know one thing; if a man finds wisdom, everything will come bowing down cheaply to him. Wisdom can place in your hands, the power of rulership; it can place a whole nation under your care. This was the story of Daniel: from the shameful place of a slave, he was exalted and made the ruler of the whole province of Babylon because of wisdom. I hope you know that if it was not for Wisdom you would not be here, the immediate world you interact with would not exist.
Proverbs 3:19 says “By wisdom, the Lord founded the earth."
A careful perusal of scripture outlines that there are different kinds of wisdom
1. The wisdom of this world/ Wisdom of men
2. The wisdom from above/ wisdom of God
Part of the wisdom of the world is acquired knowledge from universities i.e. the Ph.D.’S degrees etc but God calls this wisdom foolishness 1 Corinthians 2:19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God. As the Scriptures say, “He traps the wise in the snare of their own cleverness. The Wisdom of God is power not drawn from any outward means but this is wisdom you can only access internally – access to supernatural illumination.
This wisdom is the supernatural ability to find solutions to problems and situations beyond your current level of education exposure physical maturity and experience. This wisdom enables you to sustain an ability in the spirit to communicate divine ideas solutions to human problems that defy your current level of exposure.
How do we then access wisdom?
If you were God and you had a treasure as valuable as wisdom, where would you hide it – in the seas? When God sought a hiding place for wisdom, he said, “let me hide it deep down in the heart of man - deep in the spirit of man. There is an inward deposit in you if you are born again. This inward deposit is a reality in you and not a future expectation to be received. Meaning you don’t have to wait to receive it you already possess it -1 Corinthians 1:30 does not say that God will give us wisdom but rather said God has provided Christ as our wisdom. The wisdom is already present.
All that you need to do child of God is to understand and seek for this wisdom in your spirit man to be stirred up. The spirit of a man is one powerful phenomenon a mystery that has not been fully revealed, we see Genesis talks about the formation of man from dust but we do not read anywhere in the Bible the formation of a man's spirit however Christ in us is wisdom in us. We do not rack our brains to release wisdom; we stay on the divine mingling of our spirits’ fusion with the Lord’s spirit to manifest wisdom. Wisdom is sought within not without. In every believer is the deposit of wisdom ready to be stirred and mined. We discover in the book of Colossians 2:2-3 that in Christ are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge:
Colossians 2:2-3 "My goal is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge"
Having the treasures of wisdom and knowledge means everything in this world should lie bare before you; no situation should outwit you in any way. Christ is a gold mine of wisdom. The possession of wisdom grants the believer the prowess to answer any hard question on the spur of the moment. There is no need to prearrange thoughts before the perfect answer to any question can be given. The scriptures said that Stephen’s wisdom could not be resisted, not because he was wise in himself, but because of the influence of the fusion of the Spirit producing Christ as his wisdom. That which he spoke was not generated from smart thinking; it was from the wisdom resident within him. No wonder, they could not resist his speech, because to argue with such a man is like arguing with God.
In closing I pray for you, I declare over your head that in whatever endeavor of life you are involved in, the wisdom that makes you ten times better than your contemporaries should be at work in you, in Jesus Mighty name Amen.
