1. PRAY FIRST
Do not panic!! Don't pace up and down!! Don't replay scenarios in your head!! Steady yourself get on your knees and PRAY!!
2. SLOW DOWN
Assess the situation as best as you can and table it before the Lord, tell him what you do not understand and what is making you uneasy, be open before him and vulnerable. God cant help what you hide.
3. ACT FAST
When the anxiety starts, be quick to slap it out of the way, do not dwell on it deal with it before it gets the better of you. Change your atmosphere by playing worship music to foster an environment for the Holy Spirit to freely flow.
4. FOCUS ON TODAY
Take it one day at a time, stop trying to manage and deal with everything at once that's the main cause for your burnout. Choose to step back.
5. COMPILE A WORRY LIST
Over a period of days record your anxious thoughts, maintain a list of all the things that trouble you. Then review them, how many turned into a reality?
6. EVALUATE YOUR WORRY CATAGORIES
Your list will highlight certain themes that are reoccurring, pray specifically about those.
7. UNLEASH A WORRY ARMY
Share your feelings with a few loved ones, ask them to pray with you and for you.
8. SURRENDER AND REST
Surrender it all to the Lord that's the only way you can enter into His rest. When you surrender you are ultimately trusting in the integrity of Gods character and His ability to handle every situation you face.
